Just pics!

Alyssa didn't have time to write a group email this week but she did send these pictures. Also, she did get attacked by 2 dogs and got bit in each of her legs. It was sure scary to hear but she said that she is fine and is healing well. She will have some battle wounds but people in her mission have told her that now she is a true missionary in Peru! I guess that there are more dogs than people there! They are all over the place. She didn't give us any more details other than that. We are so very grateful that she is okay and it wasn't more serious.

Follow Him

Hola a todos!

I hope your week went well! Mine was a little crazy with changes! We left for changes in Trujillo on Tuesday and found out when we got there that something happened with the new companions and they missed the flight. So we had to spend the day procelyting and spend the night in Trujillo. So I got to stay with Hermana Jones and our companions in her area! It was so great to spend time with her and catch up! It is crazy to think that we will be returning together after our missions and that we could be neighbors in Arizona! Crazy how life works out!

So yeah I have my hija now and she is great! She is a fast learner and I love that as a trainer I can learn so much more from teaching! I know that God has a plan for all! He works in mysterious ways! haha!

This week we have been working alot with Daiana, the sister of Daniela (our most recent convert) her faith is just like her sister! She is progressing so much and truly searching to receive answers and understand the gospel for herself! This is key. You can't expect things to just be given to you. you have to search them out for yourself! God has all that we need each and everyone of us and He has all of the blessings that He desires to give you. All we have to do is open that door and allow Him to bless us! Pray to Him, read your scriptures and ponder them with true desire in your heart to know the truth!

Quote of the week: Whoever you are and whatever your past may be, remember this: It is not too late to make that same choice again and follow Him. - Elder Robert D. Hales.

Have a GREAT and MIRACLE filled week!! I love you all!

Hola Familia y Amigos!

This week we recieved our changes!! Presidente called me personally and told me that I will be staying here in Miraflores and leading my area aaaaaand I will be TRAINING a newbie! I get to pick up my ¨daughter¨ and meet her tomorrow! It is so crazy because I literally just finished my 12 week training and now I will be training! Nervous? yes! But I know that this is the work of the Lord and I can do anything if I  put my trust in Him! Just like Nephi did! (Nephi 3:7)

This week was great we had interchanges and so  Hermana Geri spent the day with me here in Miraflores and I lead the area ( great practice for this new change... huh?) and it went great! We set 2 baptismal dates and so this upcoming month of September we have 4 set dates and  I have so much confidence in them!

Miracles do exist

August 20th, 2018

Hola!
Sorry this is going to be short! This week was great!

This picture is of a little girl that ran up to me in the street, she hugged me and didn't want to let go!  We contacted her parents to meet with them and the little girl, Diana, talked to me while my comp. talked to her mom, she said, ¿Ustedes son de Dios? I  literally almost cried. In english this is Are you guys of God? I truly believe that the veil is thinner with children and that she could see that we are messengers of God, representatives of Jesus Christ. Turns out that her mom was an investigator a while back after her son died. I know that God works through his children and this girl knew that her family needed to hear our message. We will be meeting with her family today . ❤
I have a testimony that God answers prayers! I know that he works through us and his children, and that there is always a reason for things that happen in this life. I know that miracles exist and that if you pray to see them in each day, you will. I know that through small and simple acts, great things come to pass. I testify of these simple things in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Have a great week! Don't forget to pray always! Miracles do exist, ask in prayer and you can find them in each day!

Love,
Hermana Roe

Heavenly Father listens to our prayers!!

Hello all!

Okay here is a story of an experience that I had this week, sorry ahead of time if it sounds a bit weird because I first had to write it in spanish and then translate it....
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This week I had many experiences that strengthened my testimony of how Heavenly Father listens to our prayers. One of those experiences was when we were returning to Chimbote on the bus. There was an awful movie playing. I didn't watch the movie, but after this movie ended, it was on the title page and was talking a part of the movie with the title, but this part was in English. So I was the only person on the bus that could understand what it was saying. This phrase continued to repeat every 15 seconds for a duration of probably 30-40 minutes. And this phrase was awful. So I tried to sleep or something to not listen. At this time I felt very bad and very tempted by satan. Like satan had me in a hug. Then, I decided to pray. I prayed for something to happen and that this audio could be turned off. Two minutes after my prayer, the audio was turned off. I was very grateful and prayed to thank God. Then I decided to read my Book of Mormon. I read Mosiah 7:33 and it spoke to me just like the experience that I had just had. This experience, although started out awful turned out to be a very special experience of an answer to pray and my testimony grew a lot. I know that God hears prayers and is always there to help us.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you are every going through a diffult situation, pray to your Heavenly Father and I promise He is there to listen and to help you always! He LOVES you!

Have a great week filled with blessings!

Love always, Hermana Roe
