Baptism of Sister Damne!

                                                              April 29th, 2019

Hola friends and family!

This week we had the baptism of Sister Damne! It was so beautiful! She shared her testimony that God has a time and a plan for each of His children. She told us that she did not feel that she received a direct response to the gospel, but that each of us receive our answers in different ways. She testified of the Book of Mormon and how she feels a great need to read it every day. She said that she has met many missionaries before, but it was not her time, and finally she decided to read the Book of Mormon and that is what helped her feel the truthfulness of the gospel in her life. I am so grateful for the opportunity I have had to meet her and be a part of her conversion to the gospel. Meeting Sister Damne has helped me a lot in the growth of my testimony of the Book of Mormon and the power of it. I know that this book works miracles in the lives of people only if they read it and give it the opportunity to do so. I testify that this book is true and is revelation for each one of us.

We had the opportunity to meet with 2 families this week that we haven't been able to contact in the past. They are so good and we have really felt that they are golden. We have also had some very nice experiences while contacting and trying to find houses from our contacts. The other day we knocked on a door looking for one of our contacts and there was a girl named Camila and her uncle, Kevin. We took her information and made an appointment for another day. Within 3 min. we had passed through another area and we turned to see Camila running to us. She asked us if we could come through another street on Saturday. She told us that she was at her grandmother's house with her uncle, but that her parents will be at her house on Saturday at 11 in the morning. This experience surprised me because she was a girl, but she had felt something when she met us and really wanted to hear the gospel. I realized that children are very special. Maybe when we are adults we can not really see missionaries as representatives of Jesus Christ. When children see and hear us they look and feel something special. I really believe that they are closer to the veil.

I am again sorry if this doesn't make perfect sense as I changed it from Spanish to English :)

Love you all,

Hermana Roe
